I don't know if any of you have ever read the book or have seen the movie called "Gifted Hands". I read the book in college and just recently watched the movie. It's the story of a young black child who grew up dirt poor with a mom who was unable to read. Through the grace of God and the discipline of his mother, he grew up to be one of the most talented pediatric neurosurgeons in the country.
This video was sent to me today by a good friend. The video is 27 minutes long, but if you can take the time to watch and listen, it's pretty impressive. I've also posted the link to a much shorter conversation (only 2 minutes) that is very insightful.
